Priority Mail shows Arrival At Unit 12/17 640AM. Day later 12/18 still shows no Delivery. Is it lost?

I called the local PO at that unit and they were surprised package not scanned. The person then told me pkg is probably already delivered. Then I called the recipient. They had not received it. Is this package lost?

It's happened to me before. It could be that the recipient's neighbor signed for it or it was mis-routed. If the neighbors are honest, it will get to your recipient eventually. If not, then it is lost.
