  1. I was prescribed eyeglasses with a prism when I was a child and hated them because they gave me horrible headaches and dizziness.  My friend also had a similar reaction when they were prescribed.  Both of us did eye exercises so a prism correction would no longer be required.  If eye exercises are an option, then go for that.

If you also require correction for nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism then you can get contacts to correct that.

    Good Luck!

  2. It is not soemthing that technology does a good thing with at this time. They have tried it but it is not something that has been successful. You would get way better results with prism in a stationary pair of glasses, not in a contact that floats on your eye and can move.

  3. Pretty much true, there are no contacts with horizontal prism which is the most likely thing a person might need, and vertical prism to correct an imbalance between your eyes doesn't work in contacts.

  4. I'm not sure, but if your Eye Doctor says there's no such thing, then there's probably no such thing.  I don't see why she would lie to you about it, so I don't think she did.  Eye doctors are very well informed of new products and stuff, so if they did have it I think she would have heard of it.

  5. I've seen it attempted, with limited success, and it needs expensive custom-made contacts.

No planned replacement/disposable lens is available with prism.

The best chance is where the required prism is vertical, which is the rarer orientation.

How necessary are your prisms?   If it's only that fatigue shows up when tired, or when doing detailed reading/computerwork,  it might be possible to have contacts with your focussing Rx for general use, and add a pair of specs with just the prism Rx over the top of them when tired, or when facing prolonged detailed work.

The other route is a course of eye exercises to try and eliminate the need for prisms.

This is going to very much depend on your individual Rx and binocular situation.
