Prison Population == Free Labor?

Question

These people should be made to do something productive such as free labor for manufacturing or paving roads or something. They are not helping anyone by sitting around. Sometimes they felt as if they had no choice but to commit crimes to survive so this would give them maybe their first job or sense of responsibility. We should give them a very low salary (one dollar an hour) and promise to let them out early if they work hard. We should make homeless people do this too.

Do your research...Big corporations such as AT&T use prison labor all the time. They are the ones having all the new prisons built and lobbying congress to make longer sentences for crimes. By the way most states don't allow pay....

That is why I boycott corporations that use Prison Labor.

Now using them for the state work is another thing that I would agree with.
