The Court of Instruction No. 2 of Melilla has ordered the imprisonment of 11 of the 12 arrested for the riots on 10 January in two neighborhoods of Melilla, the Glen of Hidum and Monte MarÃ_a Cristina.
According to informed sources close to the investigation, the judge ordered the imprisonment for 10 of the 11 arrested in the police raid on Sunday developed Glen Hidum, and to the detainee, also on Sunday, the unrest caused by the same later in the Monte MarÃ_a Cristina.
Only one of those arrested in the Glen was released on payment of a deposit of 20,000 euros, which was filed late in the evening.
These people are considered suspected of public disorder and assault against authority, but mentioned other crimes such as drug trafficking and illegal possession of firearms, according to sources.
Detainees testified for several hours and the judge did not authorize the transfer of the alleged perpetrators of the riots to prison until they all appeared.
Transfers to the prison of Melilla were held late in the evening after a long day in the Torres V Centenario, where some relatives and friends of detainees gathered.
Eleven arrested in Glen Hidum kept in their homes an arsenal of weapons of various kinds, as well as large quantities of drugs and cash.
