Privacy concerning content in a yahoo! group?

Question

When a group is created and users post content (links, comments, photos, etc...) is this made browsable and searchable through yahoo's search engine or any other search engine? Is this something that can be restricted in the settings?

only archives, links and calendar can be found in searches and you can make them not be searchable by making htem viewable by members only. you'd do this in 2 places

archives

management- under group settings click messages- Posting and Archives (Edit) <-- click the edit- scroll to archive options and select members- click save changes

web features

management- under group settings click web tools- web tools (edit) <-- click the edit- scroll the 3 area's that can be made public and select members- click save changes
