  1. DO NOT follow the first posters advice without consideration. those members who choose this then have to post from off the group and not their own e-mail, you loose the polls feature and and you'll still see the Yahoo ID, and this is not a whole group setting but a choice of each members settings AND worst of all: this setting IS NOT reversible.

members can only see the e-mail addresses up to the @......

and that's exactly what it looks like while on the group. for instance if I was a member I'd appear like this to others crazy_mom@.......

Yahoo ID's will always show in full, there is no setting to change that. the only time members see ful addresses is on individual mail and maybe digest too.

only the owners and moderators can see members full addresses

  2. If you are the owner of the group, you can modify the setting which allows members to control whether or not others can see their email addresses and ID's.

    1. Go to the left side of group page and click on "Management."

    2. Click on "Group Settings."

    3. Click on "Membership."

    4. In the first of 2 sections on that page, there is section titled, "Membership Type and Welcome Message."  Click on "Edit" beside that title in the first section.

    5. In the section labeled, "Email Address Displays", check the box that reads, "Allow members to hide email address from group."  [NOTE: Please be aware, once you make this change, you cannot change it back later!!!]

    6. Click "Save Changes" on the bottom right of that screen.

You should be all set from here.

    Hope this helps!
