Privacy is not guaranteed in the Constitution right?

Shamelessly looking for homework help. It asks where is the right to privacy found in the Constitution, I'm thinking it is a trick question so to speak and it isn't in the Constitution.

  2. WRONG!  Look at the Bill of Rights and the 4th Amendment.

    Amendment IV

    The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

  3. No, Shane is right. It is not in the Constitution.  People just want it to be.

    The fourth amendment has to do with search and seizure, not privacy.

  4. There is no right to privacy in the US Constitution. Liberal activist Supreme Court Justices invented one to justify their Roe v. Wade decision which legalized abortion. It is not there.
