Private Ice.?

I was wondering how much does it appox. cost for private ice time?

it depends on what area you live in. around here (where I live), it costs $12 for 45 minutes, unless you buy more than 5 sessions at a time. that's for club figure skating ice. for an entire rink to yourself, it costs somewhere between $200-$300.

It costs around $10-$25 for a half an hour. It really depends on your area/how many rinks they have/if you share the ice with other people [maybe 3 other private classes going on at once]/If there are other rinks in the area [if there are, they would be competing in prices].

Where I live, true PRIVATE ice (meaning you get the whole ice surface ALL to yourself) can cost as much as $150 and above for an hour!!!  Out here the ice is nearly always booked, so private ice can only be scheduled early, early in the morning, or very late hours of the night.      

Since private ice is too expensive for just one person, I've often split the costs among other friends.  I think at best we were lucky to have a 5:00am one hour session for like $110.  Our friends have hosted holiday parties for the skaters that lasts a couple hours on a weekday evening - and everyone always pitches in to help with the cost of the ice.  

See if the rink has a website as there may be private ice info there . . . or call up the rink for the price and hours available.  Every rink will be different.

*EDITED:  Private ice is different from a Freestyle session.
