Private Story to bolt through the Ascot Stakes (Handicap) on 19th June, 2012
Elyaadi and Private Story may not be the best contenders in the line-up, but chances are that they will deliver the best performances of their careers in the Ascot Stakes (Handicap) on 19th June, 2012, over a distance of 2 miles
and 4 furlongs.
Private Story, who is trained by David O’Meara, might add another victory to his record, as he seems to be in good form.
The runner has toned up a great deal in his last two races, and looks strong enough to trump the competition today.
The bay gelding finished third in the Percy Browne Novices' Hurdle at Exeter in April, 2012 - a remarkable improvement from his performance in the Find Southwell On Facebook Maiden Hurdle at Southwell in February, 2012, where he finished in eleventh
place.
The son of Yes It´s True, out of mare Said Privately, was mounted by rider Daniel Tudhope in the Yorkshire-Outdoors.co.uk Selling Stakes at Catterick on 8th June, 2012.
The five-year-old dominated the 1 mile and 6 furlong track and came out on top, finishing 1 ¼ miles ahead of the Geoffrey Harker trained, Eijaaz.
The aforementioned victory took place over a distance of 1 mile, 5 furlongs and 175 yards, but Private Story is stretched out in the Ascot Stakes and will have to step up his game to take on the larger distance.
Elyaadi, daughter of Singspiel, out of mare Abyaan, has the benefit of more experience on her side, which always works in the favour of the runner.
The eight-year-old mare’s seasonal debut took place on 3rd June, 2012, when she competed in the Bryan MacMahon (QR) Race at Listowel.
Courtesy her swift pace, she landed a solid finish in third place, as she finished 3 ¾ lengths after the runner-up and evening’s favourite, Notable Graduate.
The John Queally trained mare previously scored in the Low Low European Breeders Fund (Mares) Handicap Hurdle at Listowel on 12th September, 2010, where she defeated, Macville, over 2 miles and 4 furlongs.
The winning flame might be rekindled again and Elyaadi might down this race.
It seems like, Private Story, will emerge victorious from this race, and based on his current form and previous performances, as his stamina will be tested over the longer distance.
