Private jet?

My husband and I just bought a private jet. We have insurance and everything, ya. We are flying to the bahamas tomorrow. Is it basically like riding first class? Or is it smoother?

  1. The ride is the same as it would be in any airplane, but the amenities inside the aircraft may be much more comfortable.  The advantage of a private jet is that you can decorate the interior more or less as you wish (there are some restrictions for safety), and you can go wherever you want, when you want.  However, it's still basically an airplane like any other, so the actual ride is the same, and it takes roughly the same amount of time to get anywhere that a regular airliner would.

  2. And your on Yahoo Answers asking us pee-ons. Enjoy the Bahamas, may I suggest Harbour Island off the north end of Eluthra, it is accessible by "private jet" from the North Eluthra airport. All the rich and famous go there.

  3. It is above any defined class of air travel. Consider yourself as the "Queen of Air", it is that regal.

Have a safe and enjoyable flight.

  4. Yes, it's like ultra first class because you're the only ones there (no chance of sitting anywhere near anyone else).

The drawback is that smaller jets get bumped around a lot more by turbulence so bring medication if you're prone to getting airsick.

  5. You would have had a demo flight. Apparently, you're not flying it yourselves, or you'd already know what it's like. Guess you're not fractional, b/c insurance would not be separately allocated. So I doubt the veracity of your post. ( I suppose it's possible that your husband took care of all the details and that you did not participate at all in the purchase. Then again, most people who buy a jet have already flown in one, as charter customers, through friends, through a demo, etc.)

Is it a managed aircraft? Is it on someone's 135 certificate?  Private jets, especially newer ones, are superior in every way to airline travel. (Older ones can be, too, if well-maintained, well-equipped, and refurbished as needed.) To compare it to "first class" airline travel would be to insult private jets. I might add that actually piloting the jet adds considerably to the enjoyment. Sitting in the cabin is very cool, too.

  6. Kidding me? "Riding first class?"

    Hon, you're riding VIP.
