My son will be going off to Kindergarten next year. We are having a very hard time deciding between sending him to public school or private school. We have a great public school system in our town and the school he would be going to has 1/2 day Kindergarten. We are Catholic and have many great Catholic Schools in our area. Our parish school has full day Kindergarten. The catholic school is expensive but has good teachers. What do you think? Public or Private?

  1. Well I went to a private school from grade 3-8. Privates schools are really good, especially how there can be more one on one time with the teacher if you need extra help. But I found it hard switching over to a Public school for high school because of the difference of numbers. I went from like 18 people in a class to around 30. I wouldn't send him to a private school until at least grade 3. At the younger grades it isn't that necessary. If you find he is needing some extra attention and help when he gets to grade three then put him in a private school. But if he is average and stuff and since you have a good public school system then keep him the the public system. I didn't need the extra help, so I think it was sort of a waste of my parents money to send me to a private school and plus, I didn't like it that much. I hope this helps.

  2. Public So your Son Can Make Friends:]

  3. well.

choose which one you feel comftoble with

  4. Public

  5. Well if you are willing too spend money on private school then do so. Personally it doesn't matter which one he goes, public schools is also bennifeted because your child can interact with other race, religion, and etnicities with others.

  6. public, i have been going to public school my whole life...not very long i'm in middle school,  but i have found that i interact way more and way better than my friends in private school! because usually public schools are much bigger and give you a chance to say who you really are, but private schools to me seem like they are filled with kids that all act , dress, and believe the same. i would want my child going to a school where he or she could meet people of different ethnicity's, religions, and people who have different interests. your son could become friends with another kid who plays soccer, football, gymnastics, etc. and then your son might want to join too and your son might find something he really likes doing. it might give him a chance to meet really nice people!

  7. Public.  It is a half a day not a full day.  A full day is to long for a kid going to kindergarten.  Also with the economy being so messed up with at the moment.  Save some money by sending your son to the public school.

  8. Home-School-better than both public and private.
