  1. Well....I personally used Huggies on my daughter. I think if the diaper service was more active back then, I would've looked into that also. I only had one child back in the early 90's so all of these "less expensive" diapers weren't around.

Are you going to be a "stay home mommy'?

  2. first off to vavoom.....'less expensives' have been around since....o....i don't know......BEFORE the 1400's.....i dont think the pilgrims had huggies.....

for the pro's and con's......you will need to do more research than yahoo - there are numerous sites avail with all sorts of info on cd's

i am a stay at home mom and use cd's - it is no more trouble to me than disposables - and on 1 income 2 hours more work per week is WELL WORTH what you will save on disposables

just get quality diapers - prefolds are fine - Gerber DSQ's (Target) - diaper covers - tons of diff choices the dappi's work for me - you will need some snappis and some doublers - and i just love my wool covers -

do not bleach them, do not use fabric softener

there are many choices for cloth diapers - aio's, pockets, one size, etc etc

another bonus is practically no diaper rashes - my baby has never had a diaper rash

  3. both my boys were allergic to disposable diapers and i had to use cloth besides the money i saved  that was really the only pro choice to it, besides being better for the environment, the cons are they are a mess to clean , especially if the child gets diarrhea, you have to use those plastic pants and if they pee too much then you make a mess taking the pants off, you have to get the pins on tight enough with out poking the baby or the diaper falls off, trying to change it in public in the ladies room seems to draw an audience. lol i can go on forever, hope this helps

  4. oh wow! first of all thank you for thinking of the options! many people don't even bother thinking of cloth diapers.

besides them being a little out of date. my mom told me she used cloth diapers on me when i was a baby. she said they are breathable and reduce diaper rash. A plus is that they are WASHABLE!! YAY! you don't have to spend HUNDREDS of dollars on diapers anymore!

hmmm thats all i know of... good luck!

  5. o wow! well my mom said that when i was little she didnt actually have me wear them but instead she let me use them as blankies! that way whenever i lost one, she could just get another one out of the pack and i would be satisfied!

anyway, on the ways of changing with them, here are the pros and cons:

    Pros:

    cheap

you dont need to keep buying them

    they make great blankies! (haha)

    Cons:

they are gross when you have to wash them

if you lose one, you may not have another to change with right away

you have to wash one every time your baby decides to go potty

    hope i helped!
