Pro's and Cons of Joining the Navy Reserve?

You drill on weekends instead of partying... you're slightly less likely to end up wherever it is you don't want to be... ask a recruiter, but don't let him break out the snake oil.

Reserves suck, just go active.  The Navy is hella fun and you will never regret doing it.

You fight in wars. Some of which make no sense.

My buddy Al Tolson demanded a yaht and 8 weeks off for a little R&R and they agreed. I wanted to start off as Admiral with my own fleet and got rejected but I did get to be Capt of my own Steamboat.
