Pro-Choice: How many of you have adopted children?

Question

I am specifically asking about American born children.

More specifically minority children l(atino and black children) who make up a significantly overwhelming proportion of the foster care system.

How many of you Pro-Choice advocates are foster parents?

What difference does that make?

If you're trying to imply that adoption is easy, it isn't. The mother needs the consent of the father, and if he doesn't want to give it she's out of luck or has to give him sole custody.

It isn't easy to adopt, either. Tons of paperwork, background checks, and waiting periods.

I do, 2 as a matter of fact. I am not pro choice.

I have not adopted any children.  I am only 22, am still in college, and plan to go to Grad School.  I know that I am not ready for even my own child, let alone an adopted one.  I need a husband and a good living situation before I even consider having a kid, or going through the rigorous process that is involved to adopt a child.  It is not easy to do!

I am pro-choice and I AM an adopted person.

I support the right of a woman to make the decisions regarding her own body.  I would never force my opinions on another person through our laws.

If my birth mother had aborted me, God would have just put me in another body.  An abortion does not prevent the birth of any soul that God wants born.

I have adopted 16.  Will that make you go out and adopt to help me out, or are you just going to spew rhetoric and claim that failure to adopt is akin to murdering the child.
