Pro Evolution Soccer 12 demo out now
Konami had gone on to promise fans of the series that they would drop two demos of the upcoming Pro Evolution Soccer 12, before the launch of the game. As per the companies promise, they have now gone on to release part 1 of these demos which is available
for download on the PSN Network and the XBL.
One of the prime reasons for the company wanting to release the demo in two parts, is that they can hear back from the users, in case there are any improvements and changes that could be made to try and improve the game, before its official launch. Konami
are also hoping that by launching their demo before EA’s FIFA 12, they are going to be able to capture a much bigger audience and hopefully, this would help the game sell even more copies when it is officially released.
The current demo that has been released is a ‘preview’, built of the game. This build allows users to play ten-minute matches and the teams that they can chose from include Manchester United, AC Milan, Porto, Napoli, Santos and C.A. Panarol. The second demo,
which is going to be much more like the finished game, is going to be released in the middle of September and would overlap the release of the FIFA 12 demo.
The game is set for a release on September 27, in United States, and for an October 14 release in Europe.
Over the course of the last few years, the Pro Evolution series has really gone on to fall from grace. Following the success that the game had in 2006, the series has been on a downward spiral. One of the major complaints that users have had from the series,
is the fact that there were not any significant changes in the games gameplay, or the graphics for a number of years. This was a massive shocker, considering the fact that PES built a reputation for itself around its outstanding gameplay.
Nonetheless, Konami are looking to strike gold once again, as they are guaranteeing that with their latest instalment, they are pushing all their limits and are going back to their roots. PES 12 offers enhanced graphics and a heap of new game play additions.
Passing, player movement and tackling have all been given massive tweaks. However, most importantly, Konami have promised that the AI’s intelligence has been given a massive tweak, in order to make users get more addicted to the game.
It is still too early to say anything, but once both games are officially released, we can then go on to decide which one of the two claims the number 1 spot, this time around.
