Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 Squad update en route

Konami have announced that their latest game is set to receive the January transfer update next week with a host of goodies and extras.
Many developers and publishers who work on sports titles in video games these days know the importance of instilling a sense of realism in their games. Whether it’s Madden 2012 or Tiger Woods Golf 12, the basic objective is to provide an entertaining, fun
and authentic experience.
That case holds true with football simulation titles as well. EA Sports have already released their squad update for FIFA 12, updating the rosters with all the movement in the January transfer window. Not only did Gary Cahill complete his move to Chelsea
but Paul Scholes made a comeback to united and the FIFA series as a result of the update.
Pro Evo has lost plenty of ground to FIFA in the past few years and it looks determined not to let the gap widen anymore than it already has.
Konami have been working on a squad update of their own, as is the general practice in football simulation games, and announced that it will go live within a week’s time.
The update will be released on all platforms that the game is currently sold on that includes the PC as well as the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles.
According to the publisher the update will add a few extras apart from the transfers that took place in January. A total of eight new boots will be added to the game from both Nike and Adidas, so players can stay up to date with the fashion side of the game.
A new ball has also been added as players can kick about the Adidas Finale Munich ball that will be used in the final of this year’s Champions League.
Along with the new boots and ball, Spain, Germany and Japan will also see a change in jersey with the update as Konami has confirmed that the new kits will also be making their way into the game.
However, even with the new improvements and enhancements it is unlikely that sales of the game will receive any major boost as 2012 seems to belong to FIFA.
