Question:

Pro life & Anti Hillaries...Just out of curiosity??

I just wondered why the pro life people and anti hillary clinton people on here who write lots and lots of questions on GWS, claim they are not sexist.

But in that case, why are they writing the debates in the gender and women's studies? If the reason they are against abortion and don't want Hillary running for preseident is purely for non sexism reasons then what's it got to do with GWS??

Just a thought...

If you are pro life and don't like hillary (not being american I assume this is over anyway now?) why are the questions in GWS shouldn't they be in politics, baby section etc.

Doesn't that prove that there is some sexist thought involved, otherwise they would have no reason to associate it with GWS.

  1. No not at all. Some people just like this section because of the general feel here.  I used to be in the babies and politics section. But someone got my attention here and I noticed how most of the people here are regularsand are  kinda cool. So here I've stayed.

  2. Not really. Sometimes I just want to address a forum of feminists, or the peculiar sort of combination we have here, when I ask a question. While pro-life (mostly because I'm pro-children) I've never asked a pro-life question here because it's the most pointless conversation to have ever.

However, I have asked "anti-"Hillary questions. Yet I will extol the virtues of Barbara Boxer on a dime, and if she were running I'd be volunteering for her. So your accusations of sexism don't hold up.

Incidentally, I'm more concerned, in a GWS context, by the number of women who supported Hillary SOLELY because she was female (I've met them in person), which I don't think is a very healthy attitude nor a fair one. All of my female friends vote for the candidate who represents them (Hillary does not); yet too many fall into the NOW trap of wanting "a" female President whatever her qualifications or integrity.

  3. If you think that being pro-life and anti-Hilary means you are sexist against women, please explain how some women are pro-life and anti-Hilary.

Once you fail to explain how that's possible, you'll realize that men who are pro-life and anti-Hilary are not automatically sexist against women.

You've been trained that any critiques of women/feminists automatically mean men are sexists.

Women are VERY critical of men and voice their concerns all the time.  Does that mean they are sexists, too?

  4. Good point. Racists like to claim they are not racists and woman-haters like to claim they don't hate women but...

    ...that doesn't make it true.
