I see these on TV all the time and am tempted to buy them but put off by their price tag, that I can't see them ( colours etc) before I buy and by their over the top infomercials. I want to hear from people who have used these products. Do they work? Stop acne/cover acne and blemishes?are they worth it? Would you recommend them?

  1. I have had Proactive bought for me and honestly it worked for a small period. But my skin some how  just built a resistance against it and it no longer worked. Yet I do have quite bad acne compared to others my age. Most just have light white heads, I whereas I have black, white, the deep pimples and scarring. Yet I am on a product now that was recommended by my doctor and I'm telling you just go and get a consultion from your doctor. They'll recommend either antibiotics, creams, shots, the pill or any other method you wish to use and even though they are just recommending a product really it's clinically tested and backed and has the stamp approval. Yet with that they can give you a dub so really just try then buy and your doctor will let you do that - some doctors have FREE sample packet (that's my doctor and another of my friends doctors though I'm not sure about others) and you can trial it and see how it goes for you! Also with Thin Lizzie I've never heard of it yet I have heard and tried sheercover and it does work but on my skin it felt just heavy and sort of irrated my skin a bit at times. But the thing is I've found if you have acne really just do something for the acne first and if you really can't find anything or are just waiting for pubity to finish then possibly consider makeup like sheer cover. Because wearing makeup really can dry out, irrate or just wreck your skin and you will be more inclined to wear makeup everyday and honestly I did that and its expensive, annoying and just truely frustrating!

  2. i guess you will never know unless you try right?

i mean proactive seems good my boyfriends sister uses it , but if your pimples are hormonal i dont think it works you have to go on actual medication , as for sheer cover ive been tempted myself the thing is if you buy these products and find that it doesnt work for you they give you yourmoney back
