  1. possible n's = 1, 2

    so 2/10 or 1/5

  2. n = 1

    5(1) + 3 = 8

    n = 2

    5(2) + 3 = 13

    n = 3

    5(3) + 3 = 18

    etc.

    n = 10

    5(10) + 3 = 53

    Only the cases of n=1 and n=2 result in values less than or equal to 14.  That is out of 10 positive integers.

    Probability = 2/10 = 1/5

    Answer:

    1/5
