Problem: Dirt floor basement, VERY itchy after being down there, Why so itchy?

We live in an old house with a dirt floor basement, every time we go down there we cant stop itching! There is a small amount of insulation, and the usual stuff like spider webs. Any thoughts? Fleas? Mites?

Your basement is the lowest part of the  house. Sooner or later, dust, skin cells, fiberglass from insulation, pollen, lint, etc. will start piling up. Going in the basement, and touching anything, will expose you to it. That is one of the health problems of having a dirt floor basement. You can't really clean it that well.

yeap. that means there is some sort of bug. most likley mites or bed bugs or body lice
