  1. The idea is to burn more calories than you take in.

Don't worry though.  What you are doing is adding muscle weight instead of fat weight.  Muscles burn fat.  This is a good thing!  Soon enough your thighs will be the envy of men everywhere.  Just keep at it!

Thanking you in advance. = ]

  2. ur gunna have to pay more attention to the foods ur eating. if you gained muscle instead of losing fat (which is actually the general idea when u wanna get rid of flabby thighs) while doing pilates and stretches than its because u have been consuming foods that are high in protein which is the main muscle building nutrient. u want to stay away from high in protein foods while working out and go for fruits and vegetables and other foods with low calories.

i cant really name foods u should be eating because i hate being skinny and eat alot of high calorie and high in protein foods but i can tell u what to stay away from for a while. white rice, PASTA, beans, meats/groundbeef, SODA (even the diet ones), chocolate(only for a while), icecream, cake, cheese and stuff like that.

it sounds like ur complaining about the muscle so im assuming its making the appearance of ur flabby thighs look somewhat bulky? u may need to start doing more aggressive workouts that involve alittle more physical activity than pilates to actually BURN the fat. like squats, lunges, running/jogging or long distance walking etc.

  3. you aren't gonna remove fat by doing muscle excersizes...

Start counting calories. If you eat 2000 calories a day and work off 2500 calories, that's a negative 500 calories... do this for a week and you'll lose one pound. the general rule is lacking 3500 calories = reducing one pound (of fat)...

pilates is kind of like weight lifting, it's a short term/length excersize, which just bulks you up.

if you really want to lose weight without the muscle bulks, run or speed walk daily.
