Question:

Problem With Movie Maker?

There's a problem with me Movie Maker where if I put too many clips in the storyboard, it just closes. The video I'm making requires more clips then it'll let me have. It never used to have this problem.

Thanks, and God bless.

  1. Windows Movie Maker is the free choice for video editing but isn't very good software. It constantly closes when your in the middle of something for no reason. CNET give's it a 1 star rating and doesn't recommend it for any user.

Top 3 choices in video editing on the PC:

    1) Adobe Premiere Elements

    2) Ulead Video Studio

    3) Sony Vegas

You can download a free trial of the software mentioned above. If your more interested in free software, there is a new, better alternative to Windows Movie Maker. VideoSpin is a brand new video editing tool which is completely free. If your looking for free video edting software other than VideoSpin take a look at my first source.

  2. Windows Movie Maker is a great free built in software with almost every version of windows.

The reason that your program closes might be because of your settings but i will tell you a simple to import all your clips in one video just like it is saved instead of importing one clip from computer and windows movie maker dividing it into 20 video clips.

ok so when you import videos and one video is divided into many clips in windows movie maker, select all videos and then right click, and click Combine. All videos will join together and it be one video with everything together.

    Hope this helps

  3. This has happened to me many times. Just ONE of many problems with Movie Maker. I suggest getting a better editing program like Adobe Premier, perhaps.

  4. There is a button above the stroyboard that says "timeline" if you edit your clips in that it will not shut down.
