Question:

Problem after I got my wisdom teeth removed?

I got my wisdom teeth extracted exactly 9 days ago. and at the one week mark my bottom left gum randomly started bleeding uncontroably. I'll bite down on a piece of gauze for a while, and it'll stop...then the bleeding will continue after some time.

I have no swelling, or no severe pain. The pain I experience feels more like.....when you are little and you are getting a tooth that is coming in....I called the dentist and they don't know what is wrong, and advised me to make an appointment asap.

what is up?

  1. I had my wisdom tooth extracted three days ago, my cheek still swelling abit, and I still feel ABIT pain.. but it is still ok.. no bleeding..

There might be some problem with your teeth, if it is still bleeding.. Have you took your stiches out? cuz normally the dentist would have  a follow up session with you 1 week later, to get the stiches out.. and check if there is any problem like infection...

I read from a website that tea actually can help to stop bleeding.. though I am not sure .. but no harm trying, you can try some tea... Hope it help..

Also, Do get some vitamin C as it help wound to recover faster ans better.. so that it wouldnt bleed as the wound is not recover yet..

Drink carrot juice , natural honey , orange juice that have rich vitamin C and even antibote propeties that can help prevent infection and recover wound better...

  2. If your not in severe pain then it is not a dry socket, what it could be is that you are getting food trapped in there and is irritating the gums so it bleeds. It is still a sensitive area and is still healing so it is easy to get irritated. I wouldn't be too concerned. Try gently rinsing with saltwater after each time you eat to prevent food from getting stuck in there until you see your dentist. Good luck
