Question:

Problem connecting Wii to Wi-Fi. Error ?

Hello,

My internet crashed a couple of days ago. It is back on now. My laptop (wifi) works fine, but the Wii is not. I am trying to get it back online, but can't seem to do it.

It finds the router OK. But I keep on putting in my security key in but it still doesn't connect. (It flashed an error code 51331). I have tried several times.

I have an orange (formally wanadoo) livebox. Now in my control panel, it states I have WPA security. But the sticker on the physical box says WEP. Either way I have tried both and still no luck.

I have reset the actual Livebox several times. I have checked for updates also, but states I don't need any.

Does anybody know what to do?

  1. u shood buy a Ninteno Wi-Fi USB Connector for $19.99. it makes the connection stronger

  2. Sorry, I can't really help, but I think you should check to make sure the Wii can just connect on a general level. Meaning, take off security so it's an unlocked signal and see if the Wii can connect. Just to make sure it works.

You should also reset/create a new WEP and WPA key and see if that doesn't work.

-as a quick aside, I just checked and didn't realize livebox wasn't US based, no worries.-

Sorry, buddy but that's all I can suggest at this point in time. Best of luck to you and I hope someone can give you a solution.

Sorry, but for when you get back online,

    Game on!
