Problem connecting ipod to computer.

i have an ipod nano and when i try to connect it to my computer its saying "USB Device not recognized:one of the devices connected to this computer has malfunctioned and may not work properly" and it wont show up in itunes. ive connected the ipod to this computer before with no trouble and i also have another similar computer with itunes that i use all the time for my ipod and i have no problems. please help!

  1. There might be some kind of error in the formatting of your iPod. Try restoring the iPod on the computer it connects to and try again.
