Problem downloading files?

Question

well right now im trying to download a drive so i can use my ps3 controller as a game controller on PC. but the file i try to download tries to save as a "rar" image file. iv downloaded the same thing once before (deleted it though) and it worked.

and another time i was trying to download a patch for a game, and it would try to save as an audio file.

how do i fix this?

you need to rename the file extension to whatever its supposed to be

like if its supposed to be a image, rename it and put .jpeg at the end of it's name

if its supposed to be audio put .mp3

or if its a RAR file put .rar
