Problem employee - help counselors or therapists - I have a problem employee who visits too much & is on ?

the e-mail too much. He is undisciplined & a rebel & has an attitude. He tries to promote to no avail. Management just gave him to me. Any advice on how to reign him in - what should I say to him & how should I say it?

Just be straight with him.  Say, "Look, I don't know what your problem is, but you need to grow up."  But say it in  nice way and something to that effect.  Tell him he's going to have to straighten his act up.
