I have a camera that records onto dvds and I just finalized a dvd. It's an RW. According to the properties it's an IFO file. How can I import the video? Any answers would be greatly appreciated. Please give detailed instructions, I'm not very good with computers. Ten points to the best!

  1. You might need a converter in some cases.

Some converters are free on www.freeware.com

Or  just type freeware converters in google

  2. The DVD folders - Audio_TS and Video_TS contain VOB, IFO & BUP files.  IFO simply holds DVD navigational InFOrmation, such as, where a video chapter begins and where audio & subtitle streams exist w/in the MPEG-2 movie (VOB) file.  If an IFO file is opened, it would launch the DVD or a certain set of VOB files.

    - Download a video converter - try Prism or Kate's (just google)

    - Convert your VOB files to avi or wmv

    - Import converted files to wmmaker
