Problem loading pics from my Casio camera to comp?

I've had my Casio Exilim EX-Z60 for 2 years, it's always worked fine. Unlike other cameras, it came with a special cord that hooks the camera up to the USB socket vs. just taking something out of the camera and putting it in.

As I said, it's always worked fine, but a month or so ago I tried to load photos (Photo Loader 2.3E) and it wouldn't let me, but then one day it would. Today I try loading it, and it usually loads automatically, but when I tried, after hitting 'ok' (before actual download) it says "An unknown error occurred while accessing an unnamed file." After I 'ok' that the loading box with the progress bar on it appears, but nothing happens and I can't suspend it, so I have to control/alt/delete the program.

Any advice?

You can try to reinstall the software driver that comes with the camera.  If that does not help, the simply get a card reader.
