  1. Broke his leg.

  2. Have freinds in low places--Tell them that guy has the money I owe you or their pay for the night

  3. I played a guy for about 2 weeks once and he owed me2000 dollars. I had to find someone to collect for me. I have some big mean friends that will collect for a percentage of my winnings. Work a deal with someone and get the money. Find someone ready to make a quick buck and collect.

  4. ahh.... the good old snitch that dont want to get his wallet out unless hes putn money in !!!! have had a few cases where people have not wanted to pay up.where i play if u dont pay u get ur @$$ beat ! usually there are guys wit me that no one realizes that they r wit me ! when u play for big bucks such as i do then you got to have outside resources that dont appear to be wit you ! my buddy will go in the pool hall 15 min before i do then i will go in and find my match ! if i got a prob wit paying then my buddy will get my back ! never go alone to other pool halls to put up cash ! cause remember they may pay you there but they may get you back ! i drove to a hotel bout 20 miles from where i played one night , i beat a guy out of 1500 next morning when i got up my car was desrtroyed windows bashed out windshield tires paint ,..... sometimes it is better to not play at all then to play alone !or give the cash up to the pool room owner that u both trust that way there are no confusions good luck !~

  5. pool sticks are perfect threatening devices.

  6. instead of a fight, chalk it up to you not demanding having money upfront! and tell anyone who knows him hes a welch! if u gamble - lesson #1... show me the money!

  7. Sure everyone has at one time or another. Either have a stakeholder or play cheap enough where the money doesn't matter. I break a finger making some bum pay off 200 bucks and it cost me 2-3 weeks of not playing to par. I tell them hey you don't want to pay ...fine just don't gamble any more around here. I spread the word that they are airbags so none of the other players get stuck. You'd be surprised how many times I have had people pay me a few days later after they cooled down.

  8. In addition to seeing the money up front, have a designated location or even a designated stake holder for the money.  If you both can agree on a person, let them hold the stake money.  Personally, I don't gamble for very high stakes, never more than $10-20/rack.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.

  9. Eight,

If you let him go, everyone else will walk all over you.

Make an example of him.  Call on your big, mean friends, like Dude said.
