Question:

Problem uploading canon xl1 footage?

I just recorded about 15 minutes of footage on my canon xl1. I used a firewire cable to convert the information to digital format on a friend's computer and now have this on a DVD. I would now like to take the footage on the DVD and edit in in windows movie maker. I'm able to play it in windows media, but I don't know how to convert it to something I can edit.

Please help!

Thanks.

  1. try Prism or (KATE’s Video Converter Free)

    - download Prism video converter (free)

    - insert DVD disk to pc

    - open Prism

    - add  .vob files from DVD folder/  VIDEO_TS/*.vob

    - adjust output setting to .wmv

    - click convert

    - now have *.wmv files in pc folder

    Open wmmaker

    - Import converted .wmv files

  2. You need to 'rip' the DVD. Try DVD Decrypter its free. Then you need to convert it to a file WMM can read like .avi or .wma ...... Try youconvertit.com ........ Good luck!!
