a tv in the bedroom has satelite box and the tv's built in freeview. via rf cable from the satelite box (tv out) the cable via external wall connects to the tv input of a tv downstairs via rf in (cable). this results in the tv downstairs only recieving the satelite program of the satelite box upstairs. the tv downstairs has built in freeview but no reception currently. how can i watch tv and satelite when there is only one tv input via rf cable.

the satelite doesnt have freeview but we only watch a specific channel ONLY and all the freeview channels. is there a 2 in 1 adapter for rf cables?

  1. duh  get a 2nd box

    good luck

  2. how many tvs are you connecting to? how many rf outputs on the satellite box? is it a standard satellite receiver or a sky box?

satellite box - scart lead - tv

aerial - rf in (aerial in) on satellite box - rf out1 to tv1 - rf out2 to tv2

if your satellite box only has one rf out get a good quality metal case splitter ( f-connectors) and split the connection into both tvs.

the aerial must connect to the satellite receiver first.

if you already have both signals on independent coax cables you need a good quality 2-1 combiner (maplins, etc), make sure its metal type not plastic. if the sky signal interferes with one of the aerial channels you will need to change the rf frequency on the box by accessing the hidden installers menu ( 0-1-SELECT on system settings)
