Well see, Every time I straighten my hair, it's you know, straightened. But then...I walk outside to walk to my bus stop and then bam, It just goes back to it's natural form. Aha. But yeah..Is there anything..ANYTHING AT ALL I can do to make it stay straightened..? By the way, I live in Florida, pretty humid. I don't know. Just please help. PLEASE. If you need any other information, just ask and I'll add more details(: ... Oh and my straightner isn't even a year old. It's not the straightner I don't think, it works, and like I said, if I remain indoors my hair stays straightened, it's just once I open my door and walk outside.. Thanks(:!

  1. You need a top of the line straightener...like the CHI.  If you don't have one, get one.  Its a good investment.

You also could try some products from John Frieda-frizz ease...that really helps for hard to manage hair.

  2. Well.....when I straighten my hair I use hairspray!

And it damages it very little or if even at all! Here is what you do!

    1. Part your hair in 4 sections!

2.Take a medium sized section of one of those sections your hair!

3.Comb it so there is no knots!

4.Take the hairspray bottle and spray that piece on each side!

5.Take your hands and spread the hairspray over the whole piece!

6.Take the straightener and go over it 2 or three times!

    7. Then comb it again!

    And Presto!

It also makes it smell good!

    It lasts for two days!

  3. They make stuff called "Flat Iron spray" - CHI makes one, Regis salon makes one - and it prevents damage from your flat iron and also helps your hair hold the straightening, too. You spray it on each section of hair right before you straighten it. I had never heard of it before, but they used it last time I got my hair cut and it kept my hair from frizzing out the minute I stepped outside. I would try that.

  4. yes, a top of the line straightner and also try the new herbal essence straighten product in the purple bottle. Spray it after you straighten each section

  5. Hi, it sounds like it the humidity that is making your hair return to its natural state. You should first try using a conditioner mask on your hair (the Aussie range have some good ones) this will help relax and smooth the hair follicles meaning that even if your hair goes back to its natural state it will still look sleeker and smoother. Before straightening your hair you should always use a hair heat protection spray and a straightening balm, this again will help the hair to be smoother and sleeker as well as protecting your hair from heat damage. You should also invest in a decent pair of straighteners, ones with ceramic plates (again these are best for keeping the hair in tip top condition, making it appear smoother), I personally recommend GHDs. You can also purchase anti humidity shampoos, conditioners and balms, such as the loreal anti frizz range and the John Frieda Frizz Eaze range, howver, if you are already using these, then try using a little more than normal, if this doesn't work then you can get your hair chemically straightened at the hairdresser, this means that you will not need to straighten your hair, EVER, until it obviously grows out. If you were to choose this option you would need to speak to your hairdresser about the expense and potential permanent damage to your hair.

    Hope these ideas help.
