Problem while executing http://localhost in Internet Explorer?

Question

I try to open http://localhost, a pop up windows asks for password.I have just reinstalled IIS. Everytime I type http://localhost I get this pop up (again!!!) asking for user name & password. when I click the cancel button the adreess changes to http://localhost/localstart.asp with the message 'You are not authorized to view this page' What should I do?

To resolve this problem, disable Anonymous authentication for the Localstart.asp file (the Localstart.asp file usually uses Integrated Windows authentication), and then verify that the user who is logged on is a member of the local Administrators group.
