  1. masturbation is fine. its her way of figuring out how her body works. dont tell her its bad or yucky just say she shouldn't do it when you are out in public or while people are over.

  2. Don't tell her it's yucky, just tell her it's private, and it's something she can do in the privacy of her own room or the bathroom but not anywhere else.

  3. Maybe she has a yeast infection and it itches down there.  Ask her and maybe take her to the dr. to have it checked out.

  4. She may have just discovered her body parts but she could have a rash, yeast infection, or a bladder infection, don't tell her it's yucky, ask her does she hurt down there.

  5. Well if there is nothing medically wrong please let her be.  Deep mental problems come from telling the kid this is wrong.

  6. go to the doctor

  7. That's YOUR problem not her's.  What she is doing is perfectly natural and normal.  What YOU are telling her isn't.

  8. I don't know why everyone thinks when A girl rubs herself

that it means there is something bad wrong, most

likely she is just exploring just like boys, this is called

masturbation and I would say everyone has tried it or

does it on A daily bases.

  9. It is perfectly normal.  Tell her to do it in private.

  10. When my son was 5, he did that too.   But I noticed he would do that when playing outside with others or maybe a sports class.   I kept asking him "do you have to use the restroom" and he would say no.   And I explained that's not nice to do around other people.   He eventually stopped but I think it was a nervous problem because he's so shy.

  11. why are you telling her its yucky!!!??? do you want to give her a complex! just tell her not to do that in public, that it is a private thing.

  12. Masturbation is a normal and healthy habit for kids of all ages--there's absolutely nothing "yucky" about it.

That MAY not be what she's doing, however--she may have a bladder infection, or she may have too much sugar in her urine (this would cause her nether region to be unusually itchy). Perhaps you should go to the pediatrician to rule these things out.

  13. Has she been on any kind of medication lately? If she has then she might have a mild yeast infection. Give her some yogart and put very little yeast infection medication on her secret.

If she doesn't have that then she is exploring herself. Don't tell her it's yucky, just let her know that is how we go to the bathroom and the only time we need to touch it is to wipe with toilet paper. At this age they are discovering themselves and learning things about body parts by touching themselves. Just explain to her in little terms that she will begin to understand.

    I have a 5 and a 4 year old. Good luck

  14. ask her once wrong or go see a doctor it could be serious
