Problem with Blackberry email?

I currently have a Blackberry Curve with Sprint. I am having a problem with receiving my emails: both my sprint.blackberry.net and yahoo email address. The problem that I am having is I am noticing that I am receiving my emails late to my Blackberry; for example, an email was sent to my yahoo address at 8am and I didn't receive it to my Blackberry until 1:49pm. Does anyone know why that is and what I can do to fix this problem?

  1. try to delete your email account from the BB and reactivate it.

    Also try to resent service book.

    go to

    options > advance options > service book > highlight your email address > hit menu delete > hit menu again undelete
