Question:

Problem with Dell Inspirion Notebook?

The notebook comes on and says that it needs at least 130V and then turns right off, so we thought it was the power adapter and bought a brand new one, still saying the same thing, any ideas as to what could be causing this?

  1. WELL I HAVE A DELL INSPIRON NOTEBOOK..,MODEL #1525 MINE DOESNT SAY THAT...I THINK MAYBE ITS THE BATEERY CHARGER OR SOMETHING OR THAT YU NEED TO SET THE SCREEN TO THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF COLOR PIXELS....I JUST BOUGHT MINE LIKE  A WEEK AGO AND MINE HASENT SAID NETHING LIKE THAT....CHECK BUT IF NOT CALL THE DELL HELP LINE OR THE GEEK SQUAD

  2. It could be the battery. What happens when you're running unplugged, on battery power?

  3. First of all do a power drain. Remove the battery and unplug the power cord and all other external cables/devices (if any) and then press and hold down the power button of your laptop, keep on holding if down for about 20-30 seconds and the connect back the adapter and check if its doing the same thing. If it does not turn on and if there are lights blinking on keyboard and then your system is not posting, could be an issue with any of the internal components of the system.
