Hello

Please can you help me

I need to connect my hose to a new outside tap I have had installed but I cannot seem to find a hose connection to fit it and Ive already tried numerous multi purpose two way hose/tap adaptors

My tap is a standard brass coloured outside tap with a "ribbed like with " sections " ends and the diameter is just over half an inch .

All the so called mutliadaptors I have tried so far manage to just stay on but do not grip it properly and the water ends up going everywhere

Please can someone help with this or recommend where I can get an attachment that lock into the tap and the other end into a standard hose pipe THANYOU IN ADVANCE

  1. you will need a jubillee clip.i need to tell u incase you dont know, its a round piece of steel with a small adjustable s***w on its side ok?.place it over the hose, attatch the hose over the tap.if its too tight, warm up the hose,or stretch it internally.when it fits run the clip over, onto the tap and tighten with a screwdriver.lata buddy.

  2. Going by the discription of your tap I think the hose should be secured to it with a jubilee clip

  3. If the the tap has no external threads for a garden hose you should replace it with a sill c**k which has threads for your hose

  4. For this model, it's best to force one end of a 1/2"Dia. rubber hose, without an adapter, into the tapered, ribbed tap.
