Problem with Janome Memory Craft 10000

Question

Hi All My wife Nancy is the proud owner of a new Janome MC1000. One problem she is experiencing is that the thread breaks (in the vicinity of the needle) - often every minute or so. The problem ocurs with different brands of thread and different materials. Thread tension is set to "Automatic" as recommended by the suppliers. Does anyone know why this is happening and how it can be avoided  please ? Ron and Nancy Potter
