Problem with TV or DVD player.

Question

When i play a VHS on my player my TV has no problems- When i play a DVD in my player the picture fades from clear to light on the TV. Does this sound like it is the TV WHICH IS 8 YEARS OLD. I bought 2 new DVD players this happens on both - THANKS

Let me guess, you connected the DVD player to the TV through the VCR?

What you're seeing is because of Macrovision encoding on DVDs.

Connect the DVD player directly to the TV and the problem will go away.
