Problem with cordless phone?

I have 3 new cordless Vtech phones. These are my problems.

1) When someone calls the caller ID doesnt seem to work. After the phone conversation is over, the number will be stored in the caller ID list, but it isnt display when the phone is ringing.

2) you cant answer one cordless and pick up the call on the other cordless handset. Why not?

3) When someone is calling, you push the answer button and it takes ages to answer the call. It doesnt work straight away!!

Any suggestions?

  1. 1) get a new phone

    2) get a corded phone

    or

    3) get a phone thats not made by a 3rd party manufacturer.

  2. I had a similar problem, then went with a Panasonic system. You can pick up any phone, or pick up others while talking, no problems with Caller ID..

  3. Have you read the owner's manual?

  4. vtech + uniden = garbage

next time you will buy a panasonic

    1

for the CID, check that the batteries are charged/installed

    2

some phones have a "security" feature, where when the line is in use someone else can not pick up the phone

    3

try re-registering the "slow" phones with the main base, or moving the main base closer to where the phones are being used...
