Question:

Problem with eProtect from Telus?

I recently installed eProtect on the recommendation from Telus since they will not provide support if I use another antivirus software. eProtect does not appear very smart and it has an annoying problem of creating a 0KB tmp file right into the Recycle Bin every time eProtect starts. This necesitates having to empty the recycle bin all the time. Telus support had not solution to this problem.

I use Windows XP SP2 Home.

  1. You could always leave your computer on all the time (or put it into hibernate/standby mode) this way you won't have to worry about the 0kb temporary file. You probably won't get much help if you contacted Telus about this issue, they don't make the product themselves, the parent company 'radialpoint' does. So really, apart from the telus branding on the product, it is a radialpoint product.

You can obtain more useful help with the software by going here: http://kb.telus.freedom.net/ or contact radialpoint directly, they use the same product (Just don't tell them you are using Telus eProtect or they will refer you to telus, just say you are using Radialpoint Security Service which is EXACTLY the same as Telus eprotect) I have included the contact link in the source link below
