i have been having a problem with the embassy in ankara, turkey. My fiance and me have been waiting for 10 months for his security clearance to be completed. I know people from in the states that had fiances from the same country but they went to a different embassy and they didnt even wait 5 months for their clearance to be done. Some of them filed months after i did and already are in the states. I dont know what is the problem with the embassy and why i cant get a good answer from them on whats going on. Did anyone have any problem with this embassy or know what i can do to solve my problem??

  1. You are not having a problem with the embassy, the embassy is having a problem with your fiance.  If I recall correctly, he is an Iraqi, and you are applying in Turkey.  The US government should, and will, take the time to ensure that issuing a visa is not contra-indicated.  For obvious reasons, they are under no obligation to discuss the situation with you, other than to let you know that the visa has been approved, is still under consideration, or has been refused.  Note:  As each individual's circumstances are different, it is pointless to compare your fiance's case to anyone else's.
