Problem with graphic card.?

i have a nvidia geforce 8400GS card.

recently, after imy com had a virus, i am unable to do anything regarding the graphic card. i removed the virus but problem still persist.

when i boot up, i get attksb application error.

does that has anything to do with my card??

i know that my card is not spoilt yet as the screen is connected to the card and my com can detect it.

now i cannot play my games.

please help with my problem.

  1. You could reset your pc and upon start-up PRESS F8, now choose to start via Safe Mode. You could either uninstall the driver of your nvidia 8400GS then reinstall the said driver (your cd that comes with your video card) or you could install/repair your nvidia 8400GS without uninstalling your previous driver. I prefer the first method. After reinstalling your driver. reboot and see what happens. Maybe your driver got corrupted for some reason. Goodluck


  2. I suggest uninstall the Driver of that nvidia and reinstall it.

  3. Do a system restore, click start, all programs, accessories, system tools, and system restore, then select the day your computer was working good before the virus. If necessary, reinstall your graphic card drivers
