  1. Well from the advice that ive seen people giving in the past on variouse guitar websites and on youtube is that you should sing and play at a slower pace, then speed it up when your used to it. Kind of like how you learn a riff slowly and then speed up.

  2. Keep practicing your guitar strumming, it will eventually imprint in your head and will become second nature. Then you can sing along because your hands wil be doing what is second nature.

  3. practice guitar and then add singing, that is what i did. It could take a while, it did for me. It actually took me years! Meanwhile, you can record the singing and play the guitar while playing the recording! Hope this helps.

  4. just keep practicing on the strumming.  when you are comfortable with it, it becomes a more natural action and you can then concentrate on the singing part.  One step at a time.

  5. i had the same problem when i first started playing. you get too busy counting your strums to thing of singing. just play the riffs untill they become second nature.

  6. Quit singing. Learn the strum first and then try singing. Picking the strings is an art in itself. Master that first and the singing will come naturally.
