Thanks.

  1. It's the heat.  You should pick them before they are completely ripe.  Set them on a sunny ledge (I put mine on the window ledge behind the kitchen sink) and they will ripen in no time without splitting.  Enjoy!

    try this

  3. Irregular watering or too much watering.

  4. Cracking is caused by irregular watering. When tomato's don't receive a consistent amount of water every day, the skin stops growing. When water is added again, the enterior of the tomato grows faster than the skin causing the skin to crack.

Some Tomato's crack easier than others. The crack resistant varieties have thicker skins.

Put your tomatos on a daily watering schedule and be consistant with the amount of water you supply. Try setting a tuna can under the sprinkler and when it is full, turn the sprinkler off.

  5. This is  usually caused by too much heat and water. You may want to put up something to block the sun part of the day. Over watering will also cause it since the heat expands the water and then they split.

  6. Too much water or too little water growing too fast.

You can still use them by cuting a vedge out after washing and eating it row or in cooking, if read do not wait harvest it right away so insects cannot get in.
