Problem with installing big bore kit on a gy6 engine?

I've been following a installation guide at scootdawg.com with no problems until I get to the cylinder which won't slide off as it shows.

It looks like to me that the piston has rusted could this cause it to be

stuck?

I advice on how to remove the cylinder safely , it doesn't matter if I ruin the gasket as I have another. I may have bitten off more than I can chew attempting this but now I've got this far I gotta carry on.

  1. if it's rusted, go with a sledgehammer and a chunk of wood...

ease it off with a few "love taps"...

  2. are you sure all securing nuts are removed if so fill the cylinders with oil and leave for a few days  then try gently tapping the cylinder upwards if it still wont budge try gentle heat on the cylinder but be careful  for obvious reasons

  3. your doing well....just smack it with a big hammer...it will come loose..
