Problem with installing wireless card on a...

Hi i an emachine G520 witch came with windows vista but i had to downgrade it to XP Pro and i can now not get the wireless card to work.
the wireless card is a Broadcom 802.11g and when i install the drivers from the net i get an error ''Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)''
and i have tried a few other drivers but still no luck
