Question:

Problem with intel network adapter card?

There was a storm awhile ago, and among other things, it seems to have interfered with or fried my adapter or something in my computer. If I put the link speed on anything other than 10mbps and half duplex it tells me it can't connect. What can I do to fix it outside of getting a new card or computer? Also, is it likely to be something besides my card? Thanks!

  1. If the card were "fried" I'd say it wouldn't work at any speed.

Did the card work before at 100mbps?

I'd check the switch/router with a different computer to make sure that the switch is not to blame.
