Problem with laptop screen

Question

my laptop was too slow to boot and i restarted it and booted normally but in no time the screen went dark. i can see the display slightly although i cannot read. i am scared because i do not know if this will go worse and worse. this dark screen is giving me headache, please help me to fix this problem.
